IPDAThe International Professional Development Association (ipda) is a professional association that supports, develops and promotes good professional development practice in education. Through their annual conference they bring together practitioners from across the world to discuss professional development issues. We built and currently maintain the ipda website, which has several functions, such as multiple home pages, for their local country divisions, as well as a member area, and a built in email marketing system for sending newsletters. Additionally, we support the ipda Annual Conference, taking videos and photos and posting live to social media.
In the Footsteps of War is a collection of war stories by real people, collated and edited by Ni Bell.
In the Footsteps of WarIn the Footsteps of War is a collection of war stories by real people, collated and edited by Ni Bell. Ni is very passionate about the subject and worked tremendously hard on the project, collating an incredible resource. We worked on the layout and cover designs and helped Ni to set up a website for the project. There have been three print and two ebook editions of the book, which is now in its definitive and final publication. Please visit the website to purchase a copy of the book. Profits are donated to the Royal British Legion. “The team played a pivotal role in the success of this project. They provided my company with a high quality website, cover artwork and book layout, along with experience and support in an area to most of us that is a quagmire of options and confusion. You need a team that you can not only trust but that can deliver your standards with reliability. Put simply this company leading the way in multimedia and project management and we are proud to work alongside such them.” Ni Bell, Creator of In the Footsteps of War
In 2015 we provided a tutor to Access to Music‘s business students in Birmingham to teach website design and development skills.
Access to MusicIn 2015 we provided a tutor to Access to Music's business students in Birmingham to teach website design and development skills. The module involves the students taking their business idea and researching, planning and executing a website within one semester. We repackaged our basic website design program for the module, which offers participants a choice of free and low-cost tools coupled with solid planning and evaluation techniques, to get a website online. The 2015 students were great, with projects ranging from music production companies and record labels to bands and tour management companies. Many of the websites created displayed innovation and were sufficiently professional to be used commercially, as several of them actually were. If you are interested in undertaking a website design programme with your students please get in touch. It's a great, hands-on, practical course that can be flexible to various timescales and budgets.
This web application was created for mentors on the Masters in Educational Practice at Cardiff University to assess their mentoring skills needs.
